Welcome Back San Diego Comic-Con Admirers!

As you may already know, outstanding Muska, an animated film by legendary creative genius Andreas Deja, was recently released on December 15, 2025. As a result of knowing the release date, TeamWHR saved our interview and panel excerpts from this years San Diego convention to coincide with the film being made available on Apple TV, Disney Plus, Prime Video, Netflix, and many other streaming sits including YouTube.
This year San Diego Comic-Con, like 2023 and 2024 was a bit different due to the previous writers’ and actor strikes. Although settled, the studios did not settle with Interactive video game actors strikes which the actors and writers honored. Coupled with a merger fever in the industry, we would have had interviews lined up well in advance. With all unions on having been on strike, the video game companies and entertainment studios did not offer access to their products. This development made San Diego Comic-Con 2025 it a much different environment than in previous years.
Fortunately, thanks to Gary Miereanu The Super PR Guy, and detailed movie informatiom from High Road PR, we were able to arrange this fantastic interview with Disney Studios legend Andreas Deja (click to visit Andreas website) and the team behind the fantastic short film Mushka.
Mushka tells the story of a nine-year-old girl and her pet tiger, set in the Ukraine. Although you may think it sounds familiar to the beloved cartoon “Calvin and Hobbes,” this film is different, with several social undertones in the animated short film.
As we stated in our post by our Senior Producer Lori Glumac from our 2023 interview while Mushka was in development, one of the things we loved about this film is that it’s drawn with ink and pencil and colored with watercolors there was very little actual CGI or computer animation making Mushka a much more personal experience.

Andreas is well known for his outstanding work on Aladdin, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Who Framed Roger Rabbit and many other films during his career spanning four decades that includes being the Director of Mushka.
Delighting millions of people worldwide, Andreas was a pleasure to interview again as we learned more about what has motivated him to create animated feature films that are enjoyed by everyone. Andreas brought along creative individuals who have worked with him during his time working in Hollywood as we delineate below.
During our time in the Comic-Con Press Room Andreas was joined by Jim Cummings who is known for his voice work in video games such as Star Wars Outlaws as well as classic films such as Aladdin, Shrek, and Winnie The Pooh. During his career that began in 1983, Jim has made major contributions to over six hundred feature films, video games and television series!
Additionally, we had the privilege of interviewing John Ramirez who has contributed on several famous films including Duck Tales, Toy Story, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King.

In the panel Chris Sanders joined Andreas where he discussed his career including being a voice actor, writer and Director for fine films including Lilo & Stitch, How To Train Your Dragon, and The Croods.
All four of these fantastic animation artists were a pleasure to sit down with and watch during the panel. We were enthralled with each sharing what they have accomplished during their careers. Each of these talented individuals have dedication and passion for animation films and television series in general, and the Mushka project in specific. We include links below to a Mushka Lullaby music video released last year and the film itself on YouTube. Enjoy!
In closing, as we prepare for Christmas and New Years, we will shift to coverage of science fiction streaming series and eagerly look forward to next year anticipating the Press Rooms and Panels that will be featured at San Diego Comic-Con in 2026.
