mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">at <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">deal of the movie <em>Minority Report <\/em>as did the holographic bands.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Circumstances bring Adama\u2019s wife, Shannon (<a title=\"Click to visit Anna Galvin on IMDB\" href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/name\/nm0303442\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anna Galvin<\/a>, <em>Stargate Universe, Stargate At<\/em><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Stylistically, Caprica City looks like any modern city of today.\u00a0 It is filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia where most of our beloved science-fiction shows now call home.\u00a0 I enjoyed the duplicity of having computers that were as thin as a sheet of paper, yet people were still driving in cars.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7118\" title=\"Caprica Terrorism\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010-Caprica-Terrorism-576x272.jpg\" alt=\"Caprica Terrorism\" width=\"576\" height=\"272\" srcset=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010-Caprica-Terrorism-576x272.jpg 576w, http:\/\/wormholeriders.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010-Caprica-Terrorism.jpg 635w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Having experienced the agonizing event of the death of a child, it is an intriguing thought that is voiced by the dialogue, \u201cWhat would you do if you had the chance to be with your child again?\u201d\u00a0 The pain is something I can only described as having the air being sucked out of your lungs while your heart is being sliced open by a sharp knife while some part of you dies with them; it is a piece of yourself you never recover.\u00a0 It is something you never \u201cget over\u201d; you just learn how to live life differently.\u00a0 I could see myself in both Daniel and Joseph, wanting to do anything I could for even just one last time to say things unsaid, but ultimately realizing, like Joseph, that it was an \u201cabomination\u201d of the circle of life.\u00a0 People go through great lengths to keep that attachment to their loved ones.\u00a0 Some individuals are cloning their beloved pets.\u00a0 Many seek the guidance of mediums to contact their loved ones on other planes of existence. In Caprica City it is no different.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7122\" title=\"Caprica City\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010-Caprica-City-576x272.jpg\" alt=\"Caprica City\" width=\"576\" height=\"272\" srcset=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010-Caprica-City-576x272.jpg 576w, http:\/\/wormholeriders.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010-Caprica-City.jpg 635w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">As with the Catholic faith doctrine, belief in evolution of mankind\u2019s body, but believes the soul is eternal, the thing given to us by God in our evolved bodies.\u00a0 The pilot produces a question for me:\u00a0 Can you reproduce or clone the soul?\u00a0 The people cloning their pets would have you believe that it is indeed possible; they will swear their pet is exactly the same.\u00a0 One hundred years ago, however, the technology was just not there to make it happen.\u00a0 Will our technology some day catch up to the point where we can download our consciousness into new bodies?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">Another theme I took away from this pilot was the recurrence presence of love and devotion.\u00a0 It is extreme love and devotion of one\u2019s religion that drives a character to their act of terrorism; that same love and devotion to religion leads another to create rather than destroy.\u00a0 It is extreme love and devotion that drives Daniel Graystone to finish what his daughter started, not only for love of daughter but for love of his company.\u00a0 It is love of heritage that makes Joseph Adams want to be Joseph Adama once again.\u00a0 It was the love and devotion of a friend who heals the virtual body of a virtual character with a simple hug.\u00a0 As with Battlestar Galactica, it leaves the viewer to decide for themselves what is right and wrong and in between those polar dichotomies.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7116\" title=\"Caprica First Cylon Centurian\" src=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010-Caprica-Frist-Cylon-Centurian-576x272.jpg\" alt=\"Caprica First Cylon Centurian\" width=\"576\" height=\"272\" srcset=\"http:\/\/wormholeriders.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010-Caprica-Frist-Cylon-Centurian-576x272.jpg 576w, http:\/\/wormholeriders.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010-Caprica-Frist-Cylon-Centurian.jpg 635w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13pt; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Calibri'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Calibri';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri';\">The pilot episode ends with a tantalizing cliffhanger that lives up to the jaw-dropping disbelief for which Ronald D.
