I cried this morning. I didn&#8217;t want to leave. I love the people, the atmosphere, and knowing that I&#8217;m surrounded by people who <em>understand <\/em>the obsession! Everyone is just as nuts as I am, and that&#8217;s comforting. Of course I&#8217;m sure that someone living in a sanitarium could feel the same way . . . but I digress!<\/p>\n<p>Everything ended so quickly yesterday! I came out of the auditorium after Amanda Tapping&#8217;s Q&amp;A and had half a thought to look at the merchandise tables one more time &#8211; even though I&#8217;m completely broke now &#8211; only to find boxes already packed and set to ship out! I went down a floor to pick up my one and only photo op &#8211; which I will reveal later &#8211; and had to wait for two hours in line. I didn&#8217;t mind. I got to meet some very nice people, hand out a few business cards, and reminisce. We talked about everything, from the Cabaret, to Dan Shea&#8217;s inability to stand still, to how we got hooked. By the time I got my image file I was <em>really<\/em> sad to be leaving.<\/p>\n<p>I wanted at least one more day to try and track down some locations that I knew about and had addresses for &#8211; the church from &#8220;Red Sky&#8221;, the hospital from &#8220;Changeling&#8221;, and the Richmond sand dunes, which was the location for every desert planet &#8211;\u00a0particularly Abydos &#8211;\u00a0that SG-1 and Atlantis ever visited. I did succeed in finding the fire-hall from &#8220;Changeling&#8221; and Fraiser University where\u00a0&#8220;Pretense&#8221; and &#8220;Between Two\u00a0Fires&#8221; was shot. That&#8217;s right, it was the Tollan&#8217;s planet! I&#8217;ll post those pictures soon.\u00a0Sadly the other two addresses turned out to be incorrect, and my GPS couldn&#8217;t find any dunes in Richmond, no matter what I did!<\/p>\n<p>*Sigh*<\/p>\n<p>All I can do now is begin the countdown for the Chicago convention. Only 5 months and a couple weeks to go!<\/p>\n<p>Right now I have to hit the hay, though. As we move back East we loose a couple hours, so I need my sleep. Tonight we&#8217;re back in Coeur d&#8217;Alene Idaho, and tomorrow we&#8217;ll aim for Billings Montana. Yes, I&#8217;m a dork. I think of Martin Loyd when I think of Billings. I told you I&#8217;m a nut!<\/p>\n<p>More to come in the days ahead, I promise! And thanks to everyone who has visited\u00a0commented on this blog!
