My name is Bonnie R. Jones<\/a> and I am a huge fan of the CW show Supernatural.\u00a0 I am extremely excited about working with WormholeRiders News Agency<\/a>.\u00a0 I am so thankful about this new opportunity to write reviews for my full on favorite show! <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I will be writing weekly reviews throughout the seventh season.\u00a0 Because of my fixation on how often the Impala\u2019s license plate gets zoomed in on, I may include how many times I saw it in each review.\u00a0 I have two twitter accounts.\u00a0 @BonnieRJones<\/a> is an essentially spoiler free account and @fullonSPN<\/a> will likely tweet and retweet spoilers so you are completely forewarned! J<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Supernatural<\/a>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Supernatural<\/a> Season 7 began right where Season 6 left off\u2026completely jacked up!\u00a0 Castiel (Misha Collins<\/a>), really thinks he is doing the world a justice, but soon it all turns for the worst when he takes in ALL of the souls, and then some, from Purgatory!\u00a0 Castiel thinks\u2026no no no, truly believes he is God now.\u00a0 What?\u00a0 This is definitely not good for those that used to be his friends, i.e. Dean (Jensen Ackles<\/a>), Sam (Jared Padalecki<\/a>) and Bobby (Jim Beaver<\/a>).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Before beginning, we include the preview of \u201cDefending Your Life\u201d, airing in the United States on Friday 10\/14\/11.\u00a0 Per The CW<\/a>, here\u2019s the episode synopsis.\u00a0 Sam (Jared Padalecki<\/a>) and Dean (Jensen Ackles<\/a>) investigate a string of gruesome murders and discover the Egyptian god Osiris (guest star Faran Tahir<\/a>) is behind the deaths.\u00a0 The vengeful god is putting people on trial for their past mistakes and killing them if found guilty.\u00a0 Osiris hones in on Dean\u2019s guilt and decides he\u2019s the next to stand trial.\u00a0 Sam steps in as Dean\u2019s lawyer, but both bothers are unprepared when Osiris calls an unexpected witness \u2013 Jo (guest star Alona Tal<\/a>).\u00a0 Robert Singer directed the episode written by Adam Glass.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Episode 7×01, \u201cMeet The New Boss\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cGod\u201d, ahem\u2026I mean Castiel shows up in many places to set people straight and set things right!\u00a0 Well actually what he\u2019s doing is causing a lot of death and blood shed.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n

Sam\u2019s wall, which Death put up inside of him so he would not remember what happened to him in perdition, is cracking and what is slipping through is complete torture.\u00a0 He cannot tell real from hell!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dean, Sam and Bobby figure if they can bind Death (Julian Richings<\/a>) and make him their b$%*h, then they can get him to kill God\/Castiel.\u00a0 Death is less than tickled to know they dared oblige him in any way.\u00a0 He explains that Castiel not only took in all the souls from Purgatory, but also the first beasts God created before Angels and Man\u2026Leviathans.\u00a0 They are much older than souls. \u00a0As Death explains, \u201cHe\u2019s the one thin membrane between the old ones and your home.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Supernatural<\/a>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Death could care less what happens to Dean, Sam, Bobby, or the world, but he really dislikes Castiel\u2019s new identity.\u00a0 He is willing to even create another eclipse for the door to Purgatory to be opened once again.\u00a0 It\u2019s up to the guys to compel Castiel to put the souls back.\u00a0 Compel God\u2026that won\u2019t be hard!\u00a0 It was definitely not as hard as the guys thought.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Castiel soon realizes that his vessel cannot withstand the souls.\u00a0 His body will explode if he doesn\u2019t do something and fast.\u00a0 He begins to feel ashamed of all he has done and wants redemption.\u00a0 Dean, Sam and Bobby get Castiel back to Crowley\u2019s (Mark Sheppard<\/a>) lab to open the door so the souls can be released back into Purgatory.\u00a0 It all seemed like it was going to be ok, but no such luck for the guys.\u00a0 The souls were returned, but the Leviathans remained and took over Castiel\u2019s vessel.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As always it is up to Dean and Sam, who is on his last marble right now, to save the world!\u00a0 Will they ever catch a break?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Episode 7×02 \u201cHello Cruel World\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

We just continue right from Crowley\u2019s (Mark Sheppard) lab where Castiel (Misha Collins<\/a>), who\u2019s vessel is now being controlled by Leviathans, has thrown Dean (Jensen Ackles<\/a>), across one side of the room and Bobby (Jim Beaver<\/a>), across the other side. We have apparently kissed our Cas goodbye!!!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n

God only knows where Sam (Jared Padalecki<\/a>), is with his bonkers self.\u00a0 He is not sure which is true reality.\u00a0 Is he still in hell and he just thinks he is back with Dean and Bobby or is all of this just some crazy form of torture by Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino<\/a>)?\u00a0 His hallucinations have continued and are intensifying!!!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Castiel\u2019s vessel cannot contain the Leviathans.\u00a0 You can just see black ooze coming down his forehead, running off of his hands, basically coming from all of his orifices.\u00a0 His body will explode!\u00a0 He walks right into local water and blackness shoots everywhere.\u00a0 Castiel\u2019s trench coat floating in the water is all that is left of him.\u00a0 Dean is filled with anger and pain for the loss of a part of his family.\u00a0 Angel or not, Castiel was as much family as Sam and Bobby to Dean.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a>\"Supernatural<\/a>
\n<\/span>It appeared that anyone who came into contact with the black water in any way was taken over by a Leviathan without regard to race, religion, color, or\u2026sexual orientation (I think some of my SPN Family will get that one).\u00a0 From little girls, to boys on the swim team, to men working on cars, to young men working for a credit card company, to doctors.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dean, Sam and Bobby are back at Bobby\u2019s house trying to figure out just what they are up against.\u00a0 What kind of big bad is this?\u00a0 All the while, Sam is seeing Lucifer and Dean as much as the other.\u00a0 He\u2019s truly having trouble discerning what is real.\u00a0 Lucifer is trying to convince him that he is the one that is real and Dean is not.\u00a0 He tells him, \u201cYou can\u2019t torture someone who has nothing left for you to take away.\u201d \u00a0Sam and this situation makes me feel like I have the crazy all over me (another one of those things that my SPN Family would probably get)!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dean has to leave to check out a case when he gets word that some boys on a swim team were beaten and devoured.\u00a0 He is nervous to leave Sam alone.\u00a0 Bobby says, \u201cWhat am I, Chopped brains on toast?\u201d\u00a0 Needless to say, he leaves Sam with Bobby.\u00a0 Lucifer is basically just hanging out with Sam, confusing him to no end.\u00a0 He is using Sam like a puppet and even refers to him as Pinocchio.\u00a0 Getting Sam to kill himself is the goal it seems.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/a>\"Supernatural<\/a>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sheriff Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes<\/a>) is at Sioux Falls General Hospital recovering from an appendectomy.\u00a0 Her surgeon is Dr. Gaines (Cameron Bancroft<\/a>), a distinguished looking man.\u00a0 Sheriff Mills\u2019s roommate, an older female, notices how she looks at Dr. Gaines and says, \u201cCharming isn\u2019t he?\u00a0 Did you know a study showed \u00be of doctors cheat on their exams.\u00a0 He may not know your appendix from your vagina.\u201d\u00a0 Hysterical! Unfortunately, Dr. Sexy was taken over by \u201clittle girl leviathan\u201d because she found a way to eat people\u2019s innards without anyone really suspecting. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So bye bye Dr. Sexy, hello nasty organ-eating leviathan.\u00a0 I do not know if this thing knows the difference between an appendix and a vagina myself.\u00a0 The faces and teeth on these suckers are grotesque.\u00a0 Leviathan Dr. Gaines takes Sheriff Mills older roommate in for her surgery in the middle of the night.\u00a0 Not surgery, but her demise.\u00a0 Yes, he eats one of her organs and Sheriff Mills sees it.\u00a0 She calls for Bobby\u2019s help hoping she will not be the next entr\u00e9e.\u00a0 Bobby is forced to leave Sam alone, because he is in no condition to hunt.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Supernatural<\/a>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Bobby gets Sheriff Mills out of the hospital and investigates in the morgue.\u00a0 He finds that several patients that had minor procedures were ending up dead.\u00a0 Dr. Gaines finds him and he knows exactly who Bobby is because he remembers him from being in Castiel\u2019s meat suit.\u00a0 Bobby soon realizes that Leviathans are immune to silver and shotgun blasts, which were used in conjunction (shotgun shells filled with silver).\u00a0 He is able to get away before the leviathan can tear him to shreds.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sam thinks Dean came home and needs his help with the Leviathans, but really this is Satan\u2019s twisted way of getting Sam out of the house, ALONE.\u00a0 Sam soon realizes that he is not with Dean.\u00a0 He is truly losing it now.\u00a0 Dean gets to Bobby\u2019s and realizes no one is there.\u00a0 Lucky he turned on the GPS on Sam\u2019s phone.\u00a0 He finds him quickly, but Sam does not know if Dean is really his brother or Lucifer. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Supernatural<\/a><\/p>\n

Dean and Sam have that amazing bonding moment where Sam can identify that Dean is real, that he is his brother, and that his brother would never hurt him.\u00a0 Only Dean can do this with Sam.\u00a0 You can feel their connection to each other.\u00a0 Lucifer starts becoming a flash in and out and less real.\u00a0 The brothers leave and as they approach Bobby\u2019s house, what they find is the house has been burnt to a crisp.\u00a0 All that\u2019s really left is the iron panic room.\u00a0 The Hunter\u2019s Library is just gone!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dean and Sam are looking for Bobby all over the junkyard when they encounter another Leviathan, Edgar (Benito Martinez<\/a>).\u00a0 The guys find out these monsters are stronger than they are used to.\u00a0 Oh and yes, Dean also finds out that shotgun blasts to their heads do not work either.\u00a0 Dean is flung into a car, breaking his leg and Sam is whacked in the head with a metal object.\u00a0 Thank goodness Dean reaches for the handy dandy magnetic crane controller and drops a car on Edgar.\u00a0 With Sam unconscious, Dean has to call 911\u2026that is a first!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Next we see the brothers in an ambulance and guess where they are headed?\u00a0 That\u2019s right, Sioux Falls General Hospital.\u00a0 Lucifer admits to not being real, but he has not left the building.\u00a0 The boys are in bad shape.\u00a0 I\u2019m sure the next episode picks up right where this one leaves off.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\n Episode 7×03 \u201cThe Girl Next Door\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Okay Supernatural fans we are stepping into episode 7.03, \u201cThe Girl Next Door\u201d, right where we left off\u2026arriving at Sioux Falls General Hospital with two broken Winchester brothers, one with a head injury and the other with a broken leg.\u00a0 Lest we not forget that there is a man-eating beast pretending to be a surgeon at this very same hospital and the guys know it\u2026well Dean, who is coherent knows it.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n

Now for me this is a bit odd.\u00a0 I\u2019ve seen these men take many a beating with less injury so I wonder if that means anything about the \u201cBig Bad\u201d we are dealing with at the start of this season.\u00a0 I mean Dean gets thrown against a car and gets a broken leg.\u00a0 Sam gets hit with a blunt object and he is in and out of consciousness and seizing.\u00a0 How many times have we seen these guys get thrown from one wall to another, catapulted into furniture, or beat the life out of one another?\u00a0 These two have literally been to hell and have been physically tortured.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Supernatural<\/a>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Bobby (Jim Beaver<\/a>) gets to the hospital\u2026he\u2019s not dead!\u00a0 He saves Sam and Dean from being eaten by Dr. Gaines (Cameron Bancroft<\/a>).\u00a0 Nice to know the boys are being saved by someone else for a change, although Bobby always has their back.\u00a0 Since Bobby\u2019s house was scorched, he takes them to one of Rufus\u2019s (Steven Williams) cabins stashed out in the middle of nowhere in Whitefish, Montana.\u00a0 Demon-possessed Bobby killed Rufus in Season 6.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Supernatural<\/a>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dean has been watching telenovelas for the last few weeks while his leg has been in the cast.\u00a0 He is so into what is going on and is saddened when one of the male characters dies.\u00a0 His Spanish accent is pretty good, if I may say so.\u00a0 They are out of food and Dean is hungry\u2026well Dean is always hungry.\u00a0 He cannot drive so he asks Sam to go get them some food and, of course he asks for pie\u2026well Dean always asks for pie!\u00a0 While Sam is at the store he notices what looks like it could be a case in a newspaper and something very similar to a case he has dealt with in the past.\u00a0 Sam brings Dean cake instead of pie.\u00a0 His head must have been hit harder than we thought.\u00a0 Dean asks about the pie and Sam says, \u201cI got cake. It\u2019s close enough. Right?\u201d\u00a0 If you know Dean, it\u2019s not even in the same class.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sam waits until Dean falls asleep to take the Impala keys and leave quietly to check out this case on his own.\u00a0 I love the flashbacks and how uncanny the similarities are in the lives of the brothers when they were kids and now as adults.\u00a0 Sam has always been reserved in everything he does and Dean has always been a \u201cBilly Bad Ass\u201d, a guy with a GED and give \u2018em hell attitude, as he always puts it.\u00a0 Both very sexy characters if you ask me.\u00a0 I will touch on more similarities later.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Supernatural<\/a>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sam quickly realizes this is more than a coincidence.\u00a0 He knows exactly who, or what he is hunting.\u00a0 Amy Pond (Jewel Staite<\/a>), is a pituitary gland eating monster, called a Kitsune (pronounced kit-soo-nay).\u00a0 Sam met her when they were just teenagers.\u00a0 He liked her and it was the first time Sam wanted to talk to a girl.\u00a0 He scrapped with a couple of boys that were hassling her outside of a library.\u00a0 She was grateful. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Supernatural<\/a> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

They shared his first kiss.\u00a0 Shortly after speaking they learned they had a lot in common.\u00a0 She and her mother (Leslie Hopps<\/a>) are monsters and Sam, Dean and their father hunt monsters.\u00a0 Amy\u2019s mother was about to kill young Sam when Amy takes her mother\u2019s life to save his.\u00a0 She said she has never killed anyone before.\u00a0 Amy did not want to be like her mother.\u00a0 Sam understood because he did not want to be like his father either and he let her go.\u00a0 He told her he wanted her on the first bus out of town.\u00a0 Amy even asked him to go with her, but Sam had an obligation to his father and brother.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There are a few low-life scum popping up in local parks, but towns apart.\u00a0 This is the same exact situation that Sam experienced as a teen.\u00a0 He knows Amy is back.\u00a0 He finds her just before her next kill.\u00a0 She tells Sam that she cannot explain why she is doing what she is doing, but that she just had to.\u00a0 That was not good enough for Sam.\u00a0 Amy knocked Sam into a tree and he hit his head.\u00a0 Knocked out again, but not before he grabbed her personal information out of her pocket!!!\u00a0 Poor guy has had his head hit just a little too much lately.\u00a0 I do not know how much more it can take.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Supernatural<\/a>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sam shows up at Amy\u2019s house soon after.\u00a0 Amy is going to have to tell Sam the truth or he will kill her.\u00a0 She opens the door to a bedroom and there lies a little boy.\u00a0 She explains it is her son Jacob (Nick Harrison<\/a>).\u00a0 She has tried to maintain as normal a life as possible.\u00a0 She became a mortician so she could feed on the dead instead of the living.\u00a0 Amy said that feeding on the dead can be risky, especially for a young child.\u00a0 Jacob got sick and needed fresh meat.\u00a0 She did what she had to in order for him to be ok.\u00a0 His fever broke and he was going to be fine.\u00a0 She would go back to the way things were.\u00a0 Sam let Amy and Jacob go\u2026again.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sam\u2019s first kiss was with a monster!\u00a0 It seems he has always been attracted to bad.\u00a0 Madison was a werewolf and Ruby a Demon.\u00a0 The same way Sam tries to manage the demon blood he is infected with, he has a softened heart to trust that some monsters can manage their poison too.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Supernatural<\/a>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dean had cut his cast off to go find Sam.\u00a0 After a bit of research, he knows indeed that Sam is hunting a Kitsune.\u00a0 He finally catches up with him and when he does, guess what?\u00a0 Sam gets punched in the face!\u00a0 New rule\u2026you steal Dean\u2019s baby, you get punched!\u00a0 Sam tells Dean he had to go off by himself because it was his mess from the past.\u00a0 He says he took care of it.\u00a0 Dean wants to know where the body is.\u00a0 Sam explains that he let Amy go and why.\u00a0 Dean knows if they do not kill her now, she will kill again.\u00a0 It is only a matter of time.\u00a0 Sam says that it is fine that Dean does not trust Amy, but he wants Dean to trust him on making the right decision.\u00a0 Sam pleads with Dean.\u00a0 Deans says ok because he has to start trusting Sam sometime.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Supernatural<\/a>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Let us talk about the similarities between young Sam and adult Sam again.\u00a0 When young Sam fought those boys off that were bothering young Amy she brought him home.\u00a0 She gave him a cold drink and instead of opening the can, he put it up to his face where he had been hit.\u00a0 When Dean punched Sam in the face, Sam walked in the motel room, got a cold can out of the refrigerator and put it up to his face.\u00a0 I just love when they show these reflections of who the characters are.\u00a0 It is the little things.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Supernatural<\/a>
\n<\/span>Dean and Sam are moving on to the next job.\u00a0 Dean tells Sam to check them in to the motel and he was making a run to the pharmacy.\u00a0 Dean had done a little homework and found out exactly where Amy was.\u00a0 He is in her room when she arrives and tells her that if she is going to move she should change her license plate because it makes one too easy to find. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

That is so funny to me because he has not changed the tag on the Impala for years.\u00a0 Amy is afraid and promises she is never going to kill again.\u00a0 Dean tells her that people are what they are and she will kill again.\u00a0 Per Dean, \u201cEventually the other shoe will drop, it always does.\u201d\u00a0 He even says I\u2019m sorry after he stabs her in the chest.\u00a0 Unbeknownst to him, Jacob was right behind him in the doorway and saw Dean kill his mother.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Supernatural<\/a>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dean asks Jacob if he has anywhere he can go and he nods yes.\u00a0 He asks him if he has ever killed anyone.\u00a0 Jacob nods no but said, \u201cThe only person I\u2019m going to kill is you!\u201d\u00a0 Dean tells him to look him up in a few years\u2026if he even lives that long.\u00a0 Dean better look out.\u00a0 He may have created a worse monster out of Jacob.\u00a0 Maybe leaving him alive was not the smartest idea, but how do you just kill a kid?\u00a0 After all, what would you do if you saw someone kill your mother right before your very eyes and they let you live?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The closing scene is actually hilarious to me.\u00a0 Chet (Sean O. Roberts<\/a>), the young Leviathan tracking down Sam, is in the convenience store where Sam bought food and the infamous cake for Dean.\u00a0 He is still a couple days behind the brothers.\u00a0 Chet tied and gagged the store clerk.\u00a0 He is stirring a vat of hot melted cheese and says to the clerk, \u201cYou know what I find?\u00a0 Plain ole\u2019 people taste fine but\u2026everything is better with cheese.\u201d\u00a0 He pours the smoldering cheese all over the clerk and you hear him scream!\u00a0 That disgusting mouth opens with all of those teeth showing.\u00a0 I\u2019m assuming that means bye bye clerk!\u00a0 He got one thing right though, everything is better with cheese.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Supernatural<\/a>
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I am so happy to see Jensen Ackles\u2019s<\/a> directorship.\u00a0 Wearing two hats in this instance cannot be easy.\u00a0 Sam on being crazy is pulling it off beautifully.\u00a0 Crazy works (another one for my SPN family)!\u00a0 I noticed the Impala\u2019s tag, Ohio CNK 80Q3, was zoomed in on one time this episode.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

After watching this episode, I am left with total anxiety about how Sam will feel not if, but when he finds out that Dean did not trust him enough to leave Amy alive.\u00a0 I am also liking the suspense of not having a clue how the guys will defeat the Leviathans.\u00a0 I hate when the brothers lie to one another, but let us face it\u2026it is why we come back for more.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
